LMTA Honorary Doctor Stasys Baras Foundation Award Competition for Singers

To the 100th Birth Anniversary of LMTA Honorary Doctor Stasys Baras. Live stream from the LMTA Great Concert Hall.

Winners of the competition:
I prize and 1000 USD – PAULIUS PRASAUSKAS (M2), student of assoc. prof. Liudas Norvaiša, accompanist Raminta Gocentienė.
II prize and 750 USD – KAROLIS KAŠIUBA (M1), student of prof. Irena Milkevičiūtė, accompanist Raminta Gocentienė.
III prize and 500 USD – OSVALDAS PETRAŠKA (B2), student of prof. Algirdas Janutas, accompanist Gražina Zalatorienė.

Students of the LMTA Singing Department and LMTA Klaipėda Faculty – singers of all types of voices – can participate in the competition.

Competition program
1. Original work by  Lithuanian composer (song or aria)
2. A work of a foreign Lithuanian composer or a harmonized Lithuanian folk song
3. Opera or concert aria by a foreign composer
4. Freely chosen work

Prize fund $ 2250 (prizes for 3 winners will be awarded).
The prize is established by the Stasys and Elena Baras Scholarship Fund.
